FAQs

General Opening Hours?

The National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 0800hrs to 1600hrs (Gates close at 1530hrs). It is closed on Monday and on all national public holidays.

The museum opening times are subject to alteration. Please refer to ………… before setting off on your journey.

How much does the admission to the museum cost?

The museum admission fee is free and is open to the general public

What to wear to the museum?

There is no official dress code but please dress neatly.

Location and how to reach us

Location : 171 Phaholyothin Road, Donmuang Bangkok

Travelling

By Road :       Private car : We have a large free car park outside the museum entrance.

Public transportation

  • By bus number
    (Non-airconditioned) 34, 39, 114, 356.
    (Airconditioned) 3, 21, 22, 24, 25, 34, 39, 114,356, 522
    The bus stops in front of the Museum entrance.
  • By Rail :  The light green sky train will open in the year 2020 and will stop in front of the museum.

Souvenir shop Opening Hours?

The souvenir shop is located in the museum area and is  open every Tuesday – Sunday 0800hrs – 1530hrs. It is closed on Monday and on all Thailand’s national public holidays.

Group booking?

Please contact the Activity Section by phone number 02-534-1764 or contact the website in advance before visiting. The museum staff will confirm your booking time and/or book a museum tour guide.

What if I need an English Tour guide?

If you or your groups require an English tour guide,  please inform your request to Activity Section at Phone number 02-534-1764

What type of activities are there?

Paper plane making, aircraft painting, bottle rocket, drone demonstration, flight simulator and VR

May I take pictures in the museum?

cameras and flash photography are permitted in the museum. Video cameras for Public use of a tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted. News photographers and videographers need to make arrangements with the Office of Communications and Marketing by calling 02-534-1853.

Do you have a cafeteria? (Food and Drink)

Do you provide wheelchairs for visitors?

A limited number of wheelchairs are available free of charge for use while visiting the museum. Visitors may ask for assistance from Security officers at either entrance.

How long should I plan for my visit to the museum?

It is difficult to say how much time it would take to visit any of the National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force. A lot depends on the age and interests of those in your group. We recommend that you review our list of exhibitions and our list of events to get a sense of the kinds of activities you’d like to participate in during your visit.

Is internet access available for visitors in the museum?

As of now, we not have Free Wi-Fi access for visitors

Who should I contact about donating items to the museum?

Please contact the museum’s Office by calling 02-534-1853 or email us to obtain the proper procedure for donating items to the museum’s collections.

How many objects are on view?

At the National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force you will find a unique collection of aircrafts from the early pioneers to today’s JAS 39 Gripen, radar, aircraft weapons, infantry guns, RTAF personnel uniform and aviation exhibition.

Where can I look for my lost items?

Please look after your personal property during your visit. Any property left unattended may be removed. If you lose any item during your visit, please speak to a member of staff or contact staff phone number 02-534-1853

Are backpacks, water bottles, and snack items allowed in the museum?

We do allow backpacks in our museum. Visitors are permitted to bring in food and beverages in resealable containers inside a backpack or other bag. Food and beverages may not be consumed anywhere in the museum except for when in the canteen.
